The ayani maram (Artocarpus hirsutus), also known as the wild jack or jungle jack, is a large evergreen tree native to the Western Ghats in South-West India. It grows up to 35 meters tall, produces sweet edible ayani fruits resembling small jackfruits, and yields highly durable timber.
